Nano calcium carbonate is used in coatings, with high whiteness, strong adhesion, good scrub resistance, and certain weather resistance. Practice has proved that the coating after adding nano calcium carbonate can resist ultraviolet rays, and the anti-aging performance has been greatly improved. Another notable feature of nano calcium carbonate is to increase the thixotropy of the coating, which is beneficial to the coating construction. Nano-calcium carbonate has a steric hindrance effect, which can suspend the denser particles in the formula and play a role in anti-settling.
Nano-calcium carbonate mainly replaces expensive titanium dioxide in coatings, reduces production costs, and greatly improves performance indicators. The replacement amount of titanium dioxide is 8-12%. Due to the different formulations of customers' coatings, the best replacement quantity is recommended for customers to compare the different replacement quantities and select the best result. In addition, the amount of dispersant, thickener, talc, lithopone, ordinary calcium carbonate, etc. can be reduced as appropriate.
The addition ratio of nanometer calcium carbonate instead of titanium dioxide is 1.5: 1 (solid content), that is, replacing 1 part of titanium dioxide and adding 1.5 parts (solid content) of nanometer calcium carbonate.
