Characteristics: | Soluble in aqua regia, slowly soluble in hot hydrochloric acid, insoluble in water. It is stable at normal temperature, and it will burn in a light blue flame when heated, and generate yellow or brown bismuth oxide. The volume of molten metal increases when it condenses. |
